What is an escape room?
Escape rooms are themed rooms filled with puzzles, hidden items, padlocks and more. Your goal is to explore and solve these puzzles in order to reach a goal and escape in under an hour. This can involve searching for hidden items, finding secret codes, opening locks and more. (Note: You can leave at any point, though we recommend playing it out!)
How much time do we have, and what if we don’t get out?
You have one hour to complete the room. Your goal is to escape before that hour is up! If you do not escape within the hour, we will try to show you the rest of the room’s surprises before letting you out.
How many people are needed to complete a room?
Each of our rooms has a recommended group size in the description. To inquire about booking a room for fewer or more people than the recommendation, please contact us. We find that a group of 4-8 people works well for any room.
Are the rooms private?
Yes! When you make a booking, it is blocked off for your group only, no matter how small. You will not be grouped up with strangers. That said, multiple rooms may be booked at the same time, so you may encounter other groups in the lobby.
How hard are the rooms?
We aren’t fans of assigning strict difficulty levels to our rooms, since everyone is good at different types of puzzles! In general, however, we think Mad Hatter’s Birthday and Timepiece Genesis are good beginner rooms, while Troubles in Oz, Cherry Meadow Asylum and The Man in the Corner are trickier.
How scary are the rooms?
The Mad Hatter’s Birthday, Troubles in Oz and Timepiece are definitely not scary. Unless you’re afraid of an awesome time. Cherry Meadow Asylum is more creepy than scary, while The Man in the Corner is scary. If you are concerned about age appropriateness, please call to ask about the content in the room.
What ages do players have to be?
All ages are welcome, though we recommend at least one adult in the room for players younger than 12. Please note that The Man in the Corner contains adult themes. Groups must have at least one player who is 18+ or outside constent from someone 18+. We also ask that you contact us to discuss content in the Cherry Meadow Asylum to determine if it is appropriate for younger players.
